you know, that was great stuff for us. Be? cause it was exciting. It was a different life altogether to what we were used to. There was one story that maybe you'd be a little bit interested in. And I don't want to get involved with names--sometimes you're afraid there's a relative.... I don't know if you'll ever use it, and any? way, it's a long time since it happened. And I don't think there'd be anyone today that would be concerned about anything that I would say about it. DON'S FLOWERS Serving Port Hood, Judique, Inverness and Surrounding Areas p. O. Box 179, Port Hawkesbury, N. S. BOE 2V0 Telephone 625-2215 or 625-2717 Did you ever hear of Barnjum? Franklin Barnjum? (Oh, yes.) Yeah, well, he was one of the head men. Now, I think he was su? perintendent. Okay. I think he was mar? ried. And I know he had a place in Maine. And he had a lumber camp there, and he was in charge of it. But anyway, there was this girl--she wasn't married. And he fell madly in love with her, with this young girl. And he was married, but I don't know if he lived with his wife or what was go? ing on there. But anyway, she was the type that took him for what she could get out of him, but she didn't care for him. He was a lot older than she was, I think. And she didn't care for him, but she wanted every gift he could give her. So Christy tells the story about all the things he gave her. And he gave her a fur coat.
