So you make a trade, eh? Hoping that she's satisfied and you're satisfied. (You take the cow that doesn't milk so well, and you butcher that.) That's right. Yeah. It takes time, but they all work themselves out, you know. Bound to. (How do you mean?) Well now, there's this cow I left with this woman. She condemned this cow. Well, you'd think it was the end of the world, that I'd have to take the damn thing and kill it. You'll figure they should dress so much, and they won't do that. You'll probably be 10, 40, or 50 pounds short. And there you are, boy, that's serious, you know. But in handling dairy cattle, that's tricky busi? ness, that's tricky business. There's so many problems that a cow can have. And the only person knows it is the fellow that raised it. And you buy his problem then. And you don't know till after you bought it. And then they're just garbage. They're for beef. Only worth half as much as a milk cow. (Do you buy milk cows?) Yes, and sell them to the farmers. (From one to another?) Right. (Like used cars.) Right, The same thing, the same thing. (So it's not just a matter of butchering?) No, no.
