We used to go up on a ladder. (These beds--were they nailed to the wall?) Oh, dear, definitely. Oh, yes. (So they were like shelves.) Just made like-- just made like a board--just boards, made like of boards. And a hay tick--used to make the ticks out of those bags. And fill them full of hay. (So the beds went up in steps.) Three. Yeah, we had a little lad? der going up. My brother had the little bunk up above--we used to call them the bunk beds. (There wasn't a second story to this house, then.) Oh, no, no, no.
