way as the girls gonna have. And I'll meet you there." So he went and he talked to this old lady, and she made a crown for him--for the young fellow. So, all right, the weddings were just com? ing up and everything, and she had the crown ready. She came up. Who did he meet right there but the bird that he chopped his head off--it was a man--the witch turned him into that. (He was brother to the two girls.) (So now he's a man.) He was a man, yeah. So, turned him into that. And he--they went to the door. And they knew him right away. And he told the story, what happened and everything. And this--the right man-- the young fellow--"Those two left him down in the hole, and he saved my life and I saved his life," he says. "And you'll have to put him on the crown, and put the other ones in jail." So, that's the one that's so old, I don't know. Oh, it was a funny story. There's a lot I missed. (Well, that's your first time through, in awhile. Is that how the sto? ry will end?) The story end? ed there. No, it didn't--it didn't end there at all. They went back home. And they met--I told you the last part of it. But when they came, they met in the place they were supposed to meet. And every single one of them was dressed up to kill. And he turned around and he said to him, "Where you from?" "I don't know, but I had broth? ers I was supposed to meet here." "Brothers?" "Yes, I had brothers to meet me here." And oh, "When we left here we had a scone," he says. "And there was half belongs to my brother and half be? longs to me." Who in the heck was it but his brother, and he jumped and he grabbed him and they made a hell of a fuss over him. And--"Well, I guess the little fellow is gone, anyways." After awhile, the young fellow came. And they noticed him, but they didn't know who it was. So he walked over, and he says, "I've got two brothers," he says, "and gosh knows where they're at." "Where you from?" "Well, I don't remember. But I remember a scone." Holy smokes, there they were, the three of them! So anyways, they went home. And they were still living, the old people.
