son, is dead and in his grave. Gordon told me he saw his father. And his daughter Florence, also dead and in her grave--the whole family is dead, for that matter. But I saw Gordon come to our house in the win? tertime at 11 o'clock in the night-- beautiful winter's night, not too much snow on the ground--calm, clear, nice, bright, moonlight winter's night, as bright as the day. And he came to my fa? ther's house--I was a young man then, 18 years of age or something like that. And he was crying. When he came in, my father asked him what was the trouble. And he said, "We want you to come down to the house." Father said, "What's the matter?" He said, "Florence saw Father. She's taken a turn." She was subject to epileptic turns, fits. So I said to Father, "I'll go down with you," and we went down. I and my father went there, to that house, at 11 o'clock in the night. And when we went in, Willie--who was drowned in 19- and-43 or -44--he was walking the floor and he was crying. He was a young man then, 28 or 30 I suppose, or something like that. He was walking the floor, and he was crying. And the other two children-- Russell was the younges't--he was a young boy. I suppose he'd be--oh, he was 8 or 10, 10 or 12, or something like that. And he was in the rocking chair. His sister, Lau? ra Mae, was rocking him. And she was older than him--she was 14 or 15, I suppose. And they were crying. And their sister Flor? ence was in a turn on the couch, lying on the couch. And she was in one of those epi? leptic fits or turns she used to take. g'' NOW AT 229 Kings Road SYDNEY Motor Cycle Shop 539-7644 • 539-1730 Equipment So we went in, I and my father. And Father said to Willie, "In the name of goodness gracious," he said, "Willie, what's the matter?" My father didn't believe in any? thing like that, you know, at all. And I can see Willie yet. He turned around and he was crying, and he said, "George, we have to do something." He said, "Father is driving us out of the house." He said, "Father is haunting the house." Now, that was quite a thing, you know. It was right there, and to hear a man tell you that, a young man tell you that. And I was there--believe you me, I was there. I'm not making this up--I was there. And my father, you know, he didn't believe it. He said, "Oh, tut, tut," he said, "don't be so foolish." So, I and my father went over where their sister Florence was on the couch. And we had seen her in many of those. And some? times you'd have to hold a spoon in her mouth to keep her from chewing her tongue. So, after awhile she came to. And Father said, "What's your troubles?" She said, "George"--she always called Father George --that was his name. "George," she said, "I saw Father." And you know. Father wouldn't believe that kind of thing at all. And Fa? ther, ah, he brushed it off, said, "Oh, go on." She said, "No 'Go on' or 'Go away,' George." She said, "I know my father." She said, "I went to that window"--now, it FOURTRAX? 300 • Full-time 4-wheel drive • Ultra-low fiist gear for heavy loads • Wide-ratio S-speed transmission with reverse • 282cc single-cylinder air-cooled 4-strDke engine (TRX3004X4) CO-OP' CO-OP SERVICE STATION Kerosene Available Exhaust Repairs Complete Brake Service Motor Vehicle Inspection Minor Repairs Lube -'Oil • Greases Top Quality . ...alLow, Gasoline... 562-2315 Low Prices 503 PRINCE ST. • SYDNEY, N.
