old suits, jackets, shirts, pants. Sending it down by trucks. Got some from Halifax, New Brunswick, Sydney--all over. In Inver? ness County, unbelievable the people that sent clothing. From around here, I'll tell you. Not only outside, the people here-- local people. (You had local support from the community.) Yeah, yeah, yeah. Got lo? cal support, I mustn't forget that.... Not only outside. And people getting in here from New York, Baltimore--you name the place--New Jersey. Any state of the U. S. A. Toronto, Ontario, Saskatchewan, B. C. And getting in there in the field and saying, "Where's Joe?" Some? body 'd tell them, "There's Joe over there." "Where's Rory? We want to see Rory, the lone survivor of the 1986 massacre." They had read the story in the Oran, and they wanted to see Rory, and they'd get their picture taken with him. Go back home and say, "We had our picture taken with Rory, the lone survivor of the 1986 massacre." Married; they had a couple of children. Anyway, he received that Oran. He was a teacher at the high school level--Grade 10. What did he do? He put on a play to raise money, on Joe's scarecrows. He telephoned; he called me up here, if it was okay, if he could use the story of my scarecrows to put on a play out there in the Northwest Territories. And they had the CBC-TV of the Northwest Territories filming the play. He sent me the tape.... Coming back to the scarecrows. We put them up again. And last year--let's say the year before, I was up to 107 scarecrows. This year I only had about 98. There's some again that had been damaged, demol? ished. Not as bad as the massacre. I still have about 98 out there. That takes in the children in the sandbox, on the swings. You name it: the married couple, the fish? ermen, the farmers. (Where do you get your ideas?) I don't know. You know, a guy that has arts in him. Me, when I start, I don't know what it's going to look like when I'll be through. I get the surprise of my life when I see that it's done. You know what I mean? Yeah! Oh, God. And that's what I tell the tourists. I don't know what they're going to look like. I get a surprise. Sometimes I'm ashamed. I've got to change it over again. Nobody sees it, you know. For us people down here, where we have this mid-Lent celebration, it's not crazy. I can use the word "crazy," yeah, but it's not crazy for us. But what I want to bring out is, we celebrate this mid-Lent festiv- All Types of Collision Work!
