"At nine o'clock the procession started down Plummer Avenue and to? wards Mount Carmel church. Besides the hundreds on foot, there were so many cars that when the procession had arrived at the church, cars were still leaving the residence. Included in the impressive fu? neral march was the nursing staff of the New Waterford General Hospital, each neatly garbed in their white uniforms. "At the church, most impressive services were conducted. Requiem High Mass was celebrat? ed by a son of the de? ceased. Rev. Dr. Cyril Miller, D.D., and cu? rate of Sacred Heart Parish, Sydney. He was assisted by Rev. D. H. Doyle, a brother-in-law of the deceased, as deacon, and Rev. Miles M. Tompkins as sub-deacon. The master of ceremonies was Rev. Albert Doucet. "The wealth of flow? ers, countless mass cards, messages and cards of sympathy received by the bereaved family bore further proof of the high es? teem in which the late Dr. Miller was held by all those who knew him. "The late physician, who for the past 29 years had served the sick in New Waterford faithfully and built up a fine practice, passed away at his home at 10:50 p.m. Sat? urday after an illness of the past year....
