sketches. We'd come up with a character, and then away you would go. It becomes sort of a game. He'll pitch something to me, and then I go with it, and then pitch something back. And then we'd listen to them back, and there'd be all these little clicks. Because every once in awhile we'd have to stop the tape because we'd start laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing. And then we'd turn it back on and keep on going. I loved doing that. We could do that for hours and hours and hours and hours. And Ed is way better at it. He is--he's the best. I'm very willing to admit it. He's the funniest guy I've ever met. He's hysterically funny. And so bright. So entertaining.... There's this story (our sister) Donna told me about. When Ed was, I think, four years old, and he was off at a birthday party, just up the street. And Donna had to go and pick him up. And she said when she walked in he was on the kitchen table do? ing this song and dance! I thought, boy, that was a sign. So he's been doing it forever. She was in the Follies of '85. I think we also asked her to be in the first Revue. I'm not sure about this. We auditioned them--Max's living room, I think. And they were great. And oh, can't they sing, and isn't this nice.... But there we had two--Heather and Cookie Rankin. They weren't even a member of the Rankin Family Band. Because I can remember saying for the bio notes of the program, "What'11 I put down? Are you members of the Rankin Family Band?" And they would go, "Well, are we members...?" I remember Cookie: "Well, I think we can say we are." Because they had played with them. So we put that in the program. But that was the stage they were at.
