But as luck happened, there was no surf on Meat Cove Shore that night, as the westerly- gale blows out Meat Cove River, and it's off land in the small bay of Meat Cove. But after you pass the western point of the cove of Meat Cove, then you get the wind. Away we went for the Kismet. When we got there we couldn't find it. It was one of the darkest nights I ever remembered, and our light was so bad that you would prac? tically have to be on top of something in order to find it. The first time we passed the Kismet, but the second try we picked it up. It was practically like the side of the mountain, as it stood so high out of the water. It went in on high tide, and the tide was low when we got there. Now the wind dropped some--I should say it was after going down good.
