for an hour while they were waiting to get a machine fixed. They had to have spares to keep you going. The machines broke down quite a bit. (What did you wear on your head?) Nothing. (Despite all the grease.) You washed your hair a lot. Some girls wore a bandana on their head. But I never did. You know, we didn't know if they had lice in their head or--you know. (It was as bad as that?) Oh, yeah. If you put 1200 women in a place, you've got to get a few of every type. So we used to put in a complaint, and that girl would be taken into the office and told to clean up her act. (Oh, it was as bad as that.) Oh, yes. There were quite a few. But once they were called in the of? fice, usually there wasn't too much problem with it. .
