Now when he went down there it was--he saw a light. And there were two girls down there--a giant's place.... The giant took them down there. And there was another passage coming in there that they didn't know. So it was the giant that took them in. They were sort of his prisoner. And (the boy) told them. And they were so happy. So they went to work, and put one of the girls in (the basket), and the boy took it up. Just the girl, and the next one came up. And then they asked, "Is there any more?" "No. There's no more, but your brother." And he flew over till he got--they got where they started--where the boat was built. And the bird turned around and he says, "Go in that corner," he says, "and you'll find a sharp blade. And cut my head off." And the little fellow says, "No, indeed, I won't." "Yes, or I'll cut yours." So he went to work and he cut his head off with--cripes--what did he have, but a man! There was an old witch turned him into a bird. And it was the king that was staying up above--it was his son. And they went to work, and they were--the two boys were getting married.
