But the mystery you see, Is how they got to be, On the Sydney side of the bridge, Some say the waves washed her over. Or through the St. Peters' canal, But that couldn't be. For it's easy to see. That the size of her wouldn't allow. It took seven long days to unload her, They had to use forklifts and cranes. Big Sadie of course, Was lost with the horse. And the wagon was not seen again. But some say the ghost of Big Sadie, Rides over the lakes every storm, With the buckboard a-saggin'. And a black horse and wagon. As bare as the day she was born. They raised a plaque in her honor. That loveable Cape Breton lass. They'll always remember.
